DO NOT machine wash or dry batting before quilting. However, if pre-shrinkage is desired pre-wash by hand. soak in warm water for 15 minutes. Squeeze out excess moisture by rolling in a dry towel. Air dry by laying flat. After quilting, quilts using this batting can be machine washed normally with a mild detergent and dried on the delicate cycle. There will be a 1-5% shrinkage on the first wash. Always label your quilt with the batting type.
